The Ask: Spread brand awareness using an out-of-home campaign and turn Pike Nurseries into a household brand. Make Pike’s the go-to for plant and landscaping expertise among young families, new homeowners, and green thumbs.

The Challenge: Pike Nurseries’ prices are comparable to Home Depot, Lowes, etc., but their services are more detailed and focused on plants and landscaping. People simply aren’t aware of the brand.

Positioning: Pike’s is your friendly-neighborhood-helper, always willing to let you borrow their tools. They’re approachable and easy to talk to, and they absolutely love what they do.

Make Your Garden A Work of Art

This campaign’s focus was to connect Pike Nurseries’ services and products to the elegance and beauty of art. By exemplifying the artistry of Pike’s gardening and landscape work, we can emphasize the quality and customer satisfaction that Pike provides. The tagline ‘Make Your Garden’ is an open tagline with limitless possibilities. The tagline can be manipulated depending on medium, context, and location to provide a more individual experience to its market.

Starting off this campaign with a logo revamp, we wanted to maintain the brand’s existing identity while refreshing and modernizing their brand mark. We accomplished this by incorporating the original leaf into the typography as well as fixing the kerning and alignment of several letters. Additionally, we added new colors that represent Pike’s existing brand identity more fluidly.
